The Rover motto is “Service.” Rovers are expected to undertake some form of service to both others, and the Rovers Association; some examples include:
Second Patrol Leader Assists the Patrol Leader in administration of a Patrol; functions as Yeoman or Purser, if needed.
Patrol Leader Leads and mentors up to three or more Rovers in a Patrol consisting of two or more Rovers.
Senior Patrol Leader Assists the Rover Crew Leader in administration of the Crew; functions as Crew Leader in the absence of a qualified Rover Crew Leader.
Rover Crew Leader Leads a Rover Crew consisting of two or more Patrols; presides over Vigils, and the Presentation of Rovers. Must be a commissioned Rover.
Yeoman Handles the administration of a Patrol, Crew, or Group.
Purser Handles the finances and budget of a Patrol, Crew, or Group.
Quartermaster Handles the logistics of a Patrol, Crew, or Group; functions as Purser, if needed.
Rover Instructor Trains Rovers. Must be a commissioned Rover.
Rover Group Leader Administers a Group consisting of two or more Rover Crews.
Assistant Camp Chief Supervises training; assists Deputy Camp Chief in organizing and conducting Rover Leader Training Courses; functions in various positions such as Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Rover Instructor, etc. during course.
Deputy Camp Chief Administers training; organizes and conducts Rover Leader Training Courses; functions as Rover Crew Leader during course.
